yes you get better marks when you elaborate. these part of the essays are a good place for you to show your critical thinking using everything you have learned in psych. don't look at how many lines, just make sure you structure each paragraph well.
in one paragraph, state the point of argument, then an example of why you stated such point, then have a counter-argument like give an example that did the study differently. state a disadvantage/advantage. then give a suggestion of how to improve and conclude the end

your evaluation on leadership theories is okay but you should add more. Individual differences is true and you can use The great person theory or any of the other theories too. Also talk about the use of quantitative and qualitative data; in Ohio State study, how they collected data? Quantitative is more reliable while qualitative is in depth description. Quantitative acts as reductionist while qualitative lacks validity due to the possibility of misinterpretations. Talk about generalisability; can these theories be applied in any kind of environment? would it work in schools, hospitals etc? can it be applied in different cultural and social environment? eg. Ohio, Michigan and Iowa.

your point on charismatic and transformational leaders is somewhat correct but not precise. Charismatic leaders are leaders that have this ambience that influences the work force. they have qualities that is admirable and they are 100% driven in helping their team strive for the goals. Transformational leaders are leaders that bring change to transform their workforce so that goals are met. Charismatic leaders influence you while transformational leaders guide and give you tools to improve.

hi celine, i finished going through your points. lets do it one by one. lets talk about the great person theory. now this theory is simplistic which can cause it to be reductionist. it doesn't provide a more detailed description of leadership traits. its just either you are born a leader or not. how would someone know if they are a leader or not? and to diminish the possibility that leaders can be made with training, is reductionist too. also, there isn't much quantitative data that supports this theory hence the reliability of this theory is at stake.

So, in organisation, there is a chapter on leadership and management. Please do that chapter.
